Working as a counselor and youth advocate, C.P. Florez became aware of how often a misdiagnosis can impede the path to true healing. Awareness became motivation to write a story with a character who would fight to right the path, particularly for women. The story became her debut novel, The Daughter Bond. The author has also penned a book of short stories and a collection of poems and essays. She is currently working on an urban fantasy for middle-grade readers. Her Puerto Rican heritage and upbringing in a diverse environment inspire many of the characters she creates. Originally from New York City, she headed South in 2014 and now spends time between South Florida and East Tennessee.
